Over 8–10 hours (spread across three to four sessions), you’ll be guided through creating:
-
A lidded vessel (such as a jar or canister)
-
A closed form (ideal for decorative or sculptural work)
-
A pair of candlesticks
-
A pedestal piece (such as a footed bowl or dish)
You’ll expand your technical toolkit with skills like throwing in two parts, shaping and joining components, creating snug-fitting lids, and working with negative space. Special attention will be given to refining proportions and creating intentional, expressive silhouettes.
By the end, you’ll have a collection of elegant and functional forms to take home, along with the techniques to continue exploring your personal voice in clay. Graduates are encouraged to join our open studio membership to keep building their practice in a supportive, creative environment.
