Welcome

This is more than just a shared pottery studio—it's a haven for cultivating creativity, quieting the mind, and building meaningful connections. Our studio is a welcoming sanctuary for those seeking a sense of community through the art of clay.

Pottery Classes & Offerings

At our little ceramics sanctuary we host monthly four-week beginner classes (wheel & hand building) to establish a strong technical foundation for aspiring ceramicists.

For those eager to deepen their pottery practice, we offer intermediate classes and an exclusive monthly membership, allowing members to join a vibrant community of creators as they craft exquisite interior pieces, tableware, and one-of-a-kind art.

About

My name is Ellen

Ellen is a ceramic artist based in Cape Town, South Africa. She integrates the beautiful natural surrounding into her art and teaches beginners and experienced potters the are of ceramics. Her unique approach of combining mindfulness into the creative process lets her students not only shape ceramics vessels into their most beautiful form, but also their mindsets. Ellen incorporates ancient Japanese pottery techniques into her teaching, which she learned during her ceramics studies in Mashiko, Japan. She was a resident ceramicist in the Hamburg based Studio of Anna Morgado, before she moved to Cape Town to learn under the award-winning potter Anthony Shapiro.

Ellen left her decade-long career in the Tech industry working for Google and Spotify behind, to embrace her passion full-time: Ceramics. She is a Certified Integral Coach and  incorporates methods to integrate mind, body and heart through clay.
